Film fantastique de James Wan avec Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Nicole Kidman, Dolph Lundgren , Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Temuera Morisson, Ludi Lin, Michael Beach, Randall Park, Graham Mc Tavish, Leigh Whannell, Leigh Whannell, Kaan Guldur, Otis Dhanji, Kekoa Kekumano, Andrew Crawford, Sophia Forest. 2h24 – Sortie le 19 décembre 2018.
1985, le gardien du phare par une nuit de tempête vient au secours d’une jeune femme nommée Atlanna échouée sur le rivage. Celle-ci s’avère être la future reine du royaume de l’Atlantide englouti dans les profondeurs mystérieuses de l’océan. De cette rencontre improbable entre le monde de la terre et de la mer naîtra un enfant Arthur. Sa mère devra se résoudre à rejoindre les siens pour sauver son fils. Celui-ci deviendra Aquaman. Au fond de la mer, se trame une réunification des royaumes de chaque océan sous l’influence du Roi Oms, second fils légitime d’Atlanna. L’homme va-t-il payer de son arrogance, pollueur des mers ?
« Aquaman » a enregistré en seulement deux semaines d’exploitations mondiales 749 millions de dollars et 940 000 entrées rien qu’en France. Pourtant ce succès a entraîné pugilat verbal sur les réseaux sociaux. À tel point que son réalisateur James Wan a demandé aux fans du film d’arrêter de harceler les personnes qui détestent « Aquaman ». S’il fallait comparer ce film, « Avatar » me vient tout de suite à l’esprit. Notamment pour ces effets spéciaux qui sont à la hauteur des fonds marins. Le récit en lui-même reste classique pour un blockbuster. 2h24 de respiration cinématographique pouvaient sembler à bout de souffle. Il n’en n’est rien. Même si à deux reprises, les scènes d’actions paraissent répétitives. L’humour est au compte-gouttes avec quelques messages écologiques dont un tsunami de plastique. L’antihéros incarné par Jason Momoa en carton-pâte au premier abord, se révèle au fil du récit un gage d’authenticité. Un conseil, ne partez pas avant la fin du générique, puisqu’il augure une suite.
« Aquaman » ne boit pas la tasse, il se laisse voir, certes pas jusqu’à l’ivresse, mais répond au divertissement d’une belle plongée dans un univers aquatique subliminal.

1985, the lighthouse keeper on a stormy night comes to the rescue of a
young woman named Atlanna stranded on the shore. It turns out to be the
future queen of the kingdom of Atlantis engulfed in the mysterious
depths of the ocean. From this unlikely encounter between the world of
land and sea will be born a child Arthur. His mother will have to
resolve to join his family to save his son. This one will become Aquaman.
At the bottom of the sea reunites the kingdoms of each ocean under the
influence of King Oms, the second legitimate son of Atlanna. Will the
man pay for his arrogance, polluter of the seas?
"Aquaman" has recorded in just two weeks of global operations 749 million dollars and 940,000 entries in France alone. Yet this success has resulted in verbal pugilate on social networks. So much so that director James Wan has asked fans of the film to stop harassing people who hate "Aquaman". If you had to compare this movie, "Avatar" immediately comes to mind. Especially for these special effects that are at the height of the seabed. The story itself is classic for a blockbuster. 2:24 cinematic breathing could seem breathless. It is not so. Although twice, the action scenes seem repetitive. The humor is dripping with some ecological messages including a plastic tsunami. The anti-hero incarnated by Jason Momoa in cardboard at first glance, is revealed over the story a guarantee of authenticity. A tip, do not leave before the end of the credits, since it augurs a sequel.
"Aquaman" does not drink the cup, he lets himself see, certainly not
until drunkenness, but responds to the entertainment of a beautiful dive
in a subliminal aquatic universe.
